Why HR teams use Bimaparakh

Group health insurance is one of the largest people-costs an Indian company carries, yet most HR and admin teams only see the policy once a year at renewal — usually as a dense, jargon-heavy PDF. Bimaparakh, powered by Protego Insure, turns that document into clear answers in minutes. Upload your group mediclaim policy and you get a single 0–100 Bima Score, a red / amber / green breakdown of the coverage gaps that matter most, and a plain-English summary you can forward straight to your CEO or CFO.

Behind the score, Bimaparakh reads the terms that quietly hurt employees — room-rent caps, co-pay clauses, disease-wise sub-limits, maternity waiting periods and the corporate buffer — and shows you exactly where your cover is strong and where it needs work. Our AI claims coverage check lets you describe any hospitalisation or treatment and see whether it is likely covered before you commit. And with claims and member data, Bimaparakh projects a realistic next-year budget, benchmarks your premium against peers of your size, and flags where you may have overpaid — so you walk into your renewal negotiation with data, not guesswork.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bimaparakh free to use?

Yes. Getting your Bima Score, coverage-gap analysis and a shareable score card is completely free. There is no obligation and no sales call unless you ask for one.

What do I need to upload?

Just your company's group mediclaim policy PDF. For the deeper Insights (next-year budget and benchmarking) you can also add your claims dump and member-detail file — the claims analysis report is optional.

Is my policy data secure?

Your documents are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in secured, access-controlled storage, shared only with Protego Insure to help you review cover, claims and renewals. You can delete your data any time from your dashboard.

How accurate is the coverage check?

The Bima Score, gaps and claims checks are indicative and informational, based on the documents you provide, and are subject to the insurer's final adjudication. For anything critical, a Protego advisor can confirm the details for you.

What is a good room-rent limit in group health insurance?

The best group policies have no room-rent cap, or a generous limit such as 1–2% of the sum insured per day (2% for ICU). A low fixed cap triggers proportionate deductions that shrink the whole claim. Bimaparakh flags your room-rent clause as red, amber or green.

Is maternity covered in group health insurance?

Group mediclaim can cover maternity, but terms vary — check the waiting period (often waived), the sub-limit (commonly ₹50,000 normal / ₹75,000 C-section) and whether the newborn is covered from day one. Bimaparakh reads your maternity clause for you.

What is co-pay and should our policy have it?

Co-pay is the share of every claim the employee pays. The best core covers have zero co-pay; it's more acceptable only on voluntary parental top-ups. Removing co-pay raises the premium, so weigh it against your claims experience.

When should we start our group insurance renewal?

Start about 90 days before your renewal date. Benchmarking your premium and annualizing your claims early gives you the data to negotiate — Bimaparakh's Renewal Radar nudges you at T-90/60/30 so you never leave it late.
